Meet Our Teachers
I knew I wanted to be a teacher my whole life. After finishing my degree in Spanish Language and my Masters in Spanish as a Foreing language I started teaching (15 years ago!) to students from Asia, North America and Europe. I use the communicative approach and work all skills. In my free time, I like to read, watch films and series, especially in Spanish.
A few years ago, my Chinese teacher suggested that I teach Spanish to her friends. I liked this experience so much, that I decided to pursue a degree in Spanish as a foreign language for Asian students. Fast forward 10 years, I have been teaching to various groups, including expat workers and their children. I teach Spanish with an emphasis in the real and professional world, and most importantly, I love my job!
I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher. After finishing my education degree at university, I discovered teaching Spanish as a foreign language was my calling, since I felt very passionate in sharing my mother tongue with others. These past 8 years, I have been teaching as well as completing my education with the Instituto Cervantes. Teaching Spanish is very gratifying, as it helps me also learn about different countries and cultures!
I have been working in the English as a Foreing language field for more than seven years, both as a teacher and content creator. I have mostly worked with Asian students, but I also have experience working with students from Europe, all levels and needs. I am fascinated by languages myself and currently I am studying Japanese, Korean and Spanish. I love travelling, hiking, watching documentaries and playing games. I also love meeting people from around the world and I look forward to seeing you in class!
I started teaching Spanish as a foreign language by chance and subsequently I decided to pursue a teaching degree after I felt that this was my true vocation. I have been teaching Spanish for seven years and this experience has taught me that motivation is key in learning a new language, as well as short term goals and forgetting stage fright! I consider myself an adventurous person who loves to travel off the beaten path, I absolutely love dark chocolate and I don’t know how to whistle!
Born into a family of teachers, I became one by chance wondering whether I would like it or not. After seven years working as an English and French teacher, I can now say I am passionate about it. I like that every day is different and, more importantly, I love combining learning and having fun, as I believe a motivated student is a successful student. In my free time, I like being in contact with nature, reading novels and… watching videorecipes!
